Lately I've had a lot of conversations about driving change within an organization. Organizations are complex systems of people, so it's never an easy task, but it can be done. I think that one of the keys to leading change is in expecting it to take time. I've seen many successful change leaders use learning opportunities and small wins to help grow support for the changes they are seeking. Other times, I've seen leaders try to implement changes quickly, by decree, and without enough space to hear concerns and quell uncertainty.
